Should wrote this earlier, but my neck was still painful (possibly from swimming with Chloe). Anyway, last Thur, Chloe still liked her swimming class. When they were put on the platform and have to jump down, I made sure Chloe had to have some time with the head in the water. She was Ok with that and she did not asked for one more jump all the time.
The picture was taken after they finished the class and they were so hungry. Chloe is the fastest to finish her “baobao.”

Hailey had made me a Mother’s day gift today in the School. She drew lots of things on the recycle bag and have also made a very special card. On the card, she wrote: My Mum is… kind . special. lovely (spell lovele), elegant (not sure if I was on this one)!
I can understand that why people do not want to have children. Even I am constantly asking myself does it really worth all the troubles. But one day, when I am old, this was the memories that I had with me. I might made more money, had a better career, and a better life if I did not have any children, but I sometimes I cannot really weight them on the scale. Life is about choice and once you make a choice, you live with it and make the most out of it.
Chloe went to her swimming class today and this was the second time of the swimming class. She went there for the first time last Thursday, she liked it because she did not have to put her head down. However, we were already told today, they (Chloe and Ryan) will have to put their heads in the water today. I was a bit worried and nervous today. I kept thinking that, I have already paid for ten classes, so what if she really dislike it like last time (last year when she was 10 months old), shall I forced her to do it or just forfeited the money?
So… here we go, she had no problem at all, she chocked a bit at the beginning but she was fine for the whole time. At the end of the class, we had to placed the babies on a big floating board and then they would need to jump into the water so that we would catch them. Chloe showed no problem at all, she was so happy and kept saying, “one more jump!”
I thought it was going to be nightmare taking her to the swimming class but it came out very differently, I was so happy that she really enjoyed swimming and I was thinking to take her everyday in the summer.

Chloe on Daddy's Shoulders
Chloe started to say “tall-nice” when she came back to Hong Kong from Texas, we have no idea what that was. Until one day when Nick put Hailey on his shoulders, Chloe said “what about me?” And then, she said “Tall-nice.” Which means Tall man is nice.
While Hailey likes to eliminating sounds in the words when she was young, Chloe like to eliminating words in her sentence. She likes to have her own Chloe’s abbreviation.
Also, another example of it will be:
Eddy-up: Everybody tidy up
I took Hailey to the dentist two days ago. Thinking that it will only be a normal check up, never thought that she has two cavities and need fillings. I was more upset than her as I thought it was my responsibility to look after her teeth. Hailey was very ok in the dentist, she did not complain and she just sat there and let her do her job. I guess that there was a TV on the ceiling and the child friendly helps. Hope she and everyboby likes to give her candy learnt the lesson now.

Shopping in San Antonio
After one day in Texas, Hailey told me that she would like to live in US and moved all her friends to there. I would say that it was probably because everyone loves bigger space and being on holiday meant mommy and daddy were in a good mood and so she could pretty much get away with everything.
The way from HK to SF was painful, it was an afternoon flight and so both Chloe and Hailey did not sleep and when they finally fell asleep, we were nearly in SF. However, Hailey really liked the entertainment on the plane and so she was ok. Chloe was a nightmare on the plane, did not eat much and liked to walk around, not felt like buckle up. In general, she was ok, may be we prepare for the worse. When we fly from SF to TX, it was an 4 hours flight and she slept through the whole flight as she was too tired. Which was good to me as I have to sat with her, I could get a little nap as well. more…
Yes, and no. Yes, she probably will not remember it later. But seeing her very happy with all the things that happened in the trip, it worth every trouble. She may not remember this trip when she grows up, but me and Nick will always remember how happy she was in the trip, she was so happy when she saw the dog in my Aunt place. She had no fear to touch and feed him. Hailey on the other hand, much older, was very nervous about it. There are things that you can only see that when they were young. And once they are older, they grew up and before you knew it, they were gone and never come back. Although I have to said that taking Chloe double my luggage and she is really “pain in the A**” in terms of looking after. There will be one day, when Chloe tells me that she does not want to travel with us and prefer to go with her friends, then I will think about this trip, and how glad I was to be able to spent time with her when she was also happy to be with me as well.
Hailey used to travel to so many places when she was young. The first time she was on a plane, she was less than a month old. Actually, it is more like that we do not have any help and have to take her around with no choice. At that time, we were so sorry for Hailey that she had to travel with us because we could not provide a very stable environment for her. So, we have said that if we ever have another child, she will not be travel as such an early age. So, Chloe did not travel until she was one. But I think that now is the good age for her to travel. She now understood so many things and when she was happy, we were happy!
With all the stress of going away tomorrow. Nick came home tonight and we tried to go and check in first and then we can be more relaxed tomorrow. Hailey climbed on a chair and turned all the light on and off. I told her off and with no TV, she was probably bored, she kept doing it and ignored me so I slapped her. Nick saw that and I told you that he was angry but he could not really show it in front of Hailey, so he said. “that was really hard.” I started to regret my behaviour and Hailey was crying and asked me ,” Why you hit me all the time?” Without thinking that she just did the same thing this afternoon to me when she was hungry. Chloe was an indirect cause for that. Sorry Hailey! Mommy is really sorry.
Ok, I know physical punishment was bad and it never worked, we should not do that to kids. It is going to damage them dadada… I promised I will not do it and I will really try. May be more sleep will prevent this happen.
Talking about sleeping, I have a one hour nap with Hailey this morning. She did not need to go to school, she was not well, and Ika told Chloe to playgroup. I really want to sleep a bit more, but Hailey already awake. So, I told her that if she slept with me in my bed for a little bit, will take her to Macdonald and she can have the pancake for breakfast. She slept with me in my bed for nearly 1.5 hours, first time in my life, and it was really nice. I can start to see why some parents enjoy sleeping with their kids. It is lovely to hear her breathing and although she kicked me several times, it was nice and I hope that we can do this again!
She liked to look for daddy now, she would come to my room and said daddy and look underneath the blanket, then she will say, “Daddy ‘fan kun’ (go to work).” and then 5 second later, she will do the same thing again and this can last for the whole day.
Everything that did not work at home was “flat battery” — “mo din”. We had to take the Bose stereo for repaired today and the TV has no sound output. Chloe kept saying that mo din for the whole afternoon.
Last week when I was in the Rugby 7, I saw the woman Rugby game, cannot help to wonder if one of my daughter will be a good player?
