Sorry again for not updating the blog for so long. Ever since come back from the “perfect Singapore” (according to Hailey), Chloe never slept over the night, she would wake up in the middle of the night and started to cry, not because she had a wet nappy, not because she was hungry, she just wanted me to hold her –not until she fell asleep, but FOREVER. If I put her down, she will start to cry and then throw up. I did try to let her cry, and this stubborn monster could really really cry until she threw up. One night, I told everyone to ignore her and since she was going to be sick anyway, I would wait until she “finished” and cleaned up once and for all. Hailey came out from her room and told me to take a look at her, she said, “Mommy, you know, I think we should take a look at Chloe, she has been crying for a long time, she was probably cover with all the “yukkie”.” So, even my 4 year old daughter was more sensible as me, I was just too upset to deal with her. Moreover, me and Hailey were ill for a week and it was just a nice excuse not to take Chloe to playgroup. And since we are going to the States for 2 weeks now, it was nice to just do not have to deal with her tantrum from time to time. more…

Sorry for not able to update the blog for so long. Everyone took their turn to be ill last week. Talking about the Singapore trip… what can I say: Very exhausting for us. Hailey was an lovely angel on the plane but Chloe was… really a monster. She wanted to walk on the plane all the time and when she was not allowed to, she screamed and screamed and it did not help with the fact people on the plane thought that she was very cute kept playing with her. Thus, it gave Chloe, her majesty a big incentive to marched down the aisle and “greeted” her people. more…
On The Beach
It has been two days in a row now and my little monster Chloe decided she will make her own decision on clothes. This morning, she needed to go to school with Hailey and when I came out, she had a dress on with a trousers underneath. Bare in mind that that was not the latest fashion. I went to ask why she dressed like that, and Ika (my helper) told me that she will not wear anything but only those. Of course I will not let her go out like that. I went into her room and picked out a dress and said to her, “look! there is a cat on the dress!” Then, Chloe said “meow” and pointed at it and decided that she had some sort of connection with the cat and put it on. So, I think my nightmare started, I remember that Hailey used to pick her own clothes and it always lead to diaster. She would pick something that just did not match. May be, I should try the montessori way: only provide two choices. more…
I am so lucky that I have these two lovely daughters, Hailey and Chloe. They are so different: Chloe likes to eat, Hailey likes to talk. Chloe does not like strangers, Hailey loves to talk to people (probably from me). Chloe likes to take her passion of eating to next level, eating on her own without any assistance. Hailey is 4 and a half and still does not mind to be fed. Me and Nick used to have to have a draw straw to decided who put Hailey to bed. Chloe on the other hand, two minutes, bed. They are so different and I always wonder who do I love most, but it is difficult to say. more…
